WHITE MUTTON KARAHI
This rich, creamy curry features tender mutton that melts in the mouth. It’s infused with aromatic
spices and tastes wonderfully decadent, but in fact it’s very simple to cook in just one pot. Enjoy it
with rice or warm roti.
1kg mutton 1 cup Yogurt whisked 1 onion (chopped) 3 tbsp oil 1 tsp white pepper powder 1 tsp black pepper 1 medium Cinnamon stick 2 green cardamoms Salt to taste 1 tbsp Ginger paste 1 tbsp garlic paste 1 tsp cumin powder 1 tsp coriander powder 2 green chilies 2 cups mutton stock or water Water as required
1. In a pan add mutton, water, fresh ginger, cardamom, cinnamon stick, and salt. Cover it and cook on low flame for 30 to 40 minutes or until mutton is cooked.
2. Add the oil and stir fry until the meat is golden brown. now add the garlic paste, ginger paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, and the fresh green chillies and cook for 2 minutes.
3. Now add the white pepper, black pepper, whisked yogurt, and cook for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh green chilies, ginger, coriander leaves, and serve.
Serve with Roti, Rice or Nan.
