Raita, which is often served as an accompaniment to any Indian meal. But this one is one of my personal favourite, its a simple recipe with the fresh crispness of the apples and sweetness of the raisins served with any biriyani dish just enhances the flavour.
1 Apple, chop finely 1/2 Cucumber chop finely 2 Cups of natural plain yogurt Salt or to taste
1/4 tsp pepper 1/2 Tsp Cumin powder 2 Tbsp coriander leaves, finely chopped
2 Tbsp Raisins
1. Whisk the yogurt in a large bowl, add the salt, pepper, cumin powder, chopped coriander leaves, raisins, chopped cucumber and apples. Mix well and taste, adjust according to taste.
